Documentary stories from a Multipolar world

Second Dossier Films is an independent documentary outfit that looks for missing facts that historians and politicians have ignored – or covered up. We explore the dossiers that were never meant to be opened.

Oppenheimer's Fall: The Spectre of Edward Teller

In New Delhi, evidence of a secret pact between Robert J. Oppenheimer and Prime Minister Nehru to sabotage a U.S. nuclear initiative forces a provocative reckoning: was Edward Teller, vilified by Oppenheimer’s admirers and the media as a “madman,” right all along to warn that Oppenheimer could not be trusted?

The accusation that Oppenheimer was a security threat stems from testimony given by Edward Teller who had developed the ultimate weapon, the hydrogen bomb, despite efforts by Oppenheimer to hinder his work. The US government first sided with Teller, revoked Oppenheimer’s security clearance, killing his career. Then, just before the premiere of the Hollywood blockbuster ”Oppenheimer”, the government reversed itself, reinstating his clearance, saying Oppenheimer had been treated unfairly. Now, however, information hidden in Indian archives for than 60 years demonstrate that Teller had been correct in questioning Oppenheimer’s integrity. We also unveil the last on-camera interview that Teller gave, locating videotapes that had been stored for more than 20 years after his death and never before broadcast. That interview still holds relevance.

Trump and a Dead Swedish Diplomat

Decades after U.N. Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld — Sweden’s most revered diplomat — died in a mysterious 1961 plane crash, many Swedes are still wondering what happened. Now, President Trump holds the key to classified U.S. files that could finally reveal whether it was an accident, or a Cold War assassination.

When the Swedish born UN Secretary-General died in a plane crash over Northern Rhodesia, this tireless campaigner for global peace was working hand in glove with the ”New Frontiersmen” of the JFK administration to end the Cold War.

The circumstances of his death are still unresolved despite a still ongoing UN investigation which is pointing towards US and British knowledge and possible involvement. To help break the impasse a member of the Swedish Parliament is now, in this film, pleading with President Trump to open US intelligence archives and help the Swedish people bring closure to the enduring mystery still haunting many of its citizens. In fact, investigators have already speculated that CIA and Mi6 played a role here, just like they did in the ”Russia hoax” during Trump’s first administration.

So, will President Trump act?

Sweden: Dying to be multicultural

When it first appeared online, a fifth of Sweden watched it and its presenter could no longer walk the streets unrecognised. Then the platforms thought better of the conversation, and the film disappeared.

A few years ago, Sweden welcomed hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing the wars of the Middle East — one of the largest per-capita intakes in the Western world. Through extensive on-the-ground investigation, this documentary uncovers an integration story considerably more complicated than the one offered by mainstream commentary.

Information obtained during our research raise difficult questions about resource allocation: sums committed to housing refugees in high-cost Swedish accommodation could, by official estimates, have assisted many more people had they been directed to the region itself. Local politicians describe how voices raising concerns about cost and social cohesion have been marginalised through procedural means that close them out of mainstream debate.

The film argues that decisions taken by a small number of policymakers, with limited public consultation, have produced a backlash now reshaping politics across much of Europe. The questions raised here — about transparency, trade-offs, and the health of open debate — deserve a hearing.

What We Do

We are a lean team of researchers, filmmakers and investigative journalists dedicated to the ”second dossier” – the buried history and overlooked testimonies that challenge official narratives. Our work is defined by a commitment to the multipolar world, seeking out stories from the margins that demand to be centered.

Our productions prioritize the raw power of the testimony. We believe that a well-framed truth is more impactful than an over-produced fiction, employing an aesthetic that honors the discipline of the fact checker.

With a background in the cross-currents of global media, we operate as an independent outfit, free from the constraints of major studios or political agendas, Our mission is simple: to find the missing facts that help us understand current predicaments and solve outstanding riddles.
